Locker Pouch

Simplify your life and keep your stuff organized with these nifty locker pouches that can be easily mounted on your lockers interior. At the end of the school day, simply grab the whole pouch on your way out so you’ll never be without the supplies you need and you’ll spend less time searching for those important necessities! Great for pencils, pens, money, erasers, pencil sharpeners, compasses and more!

Materials:
Westcott Brand® Kids NonStick 5” Blunt Tip Scissors with Microban® Protection (for ages 4 and up)
OR
Westcott Brand® Kids NonStick 5” Pointed Tip Scissors with Microban® Protection (for ages 6 and up)
Printed Duck® Brand Duct Tape
Color Duck® Brand Duct Tape
Printed Duck® Brand Duct Tape Sheets
Color Duck® Brand Duct Tape Sheets
VELCRO® Brand Sticky Back™ Hook and Loop Fasteners
VELCRO® Brand Removable Hanging Strips and Coins Combo

Instructions:

  1. Cut along the outermost line of all four sides of two duct tape sheets and set them aside.
  2. Peel the paper backing off of two other contrasting whole sheets of duct tape.
  3. Place the whole peeled sheets down with their sticky sides facing up.
  4. Place the smaller sheets you trimmed previously down in the center of the sticky surfaces of the whole sheets leaving the paper backing of the smaller sheets on.
  5. Smooth with your hands.
  6.  Position one sheet horizontally and notch out squares on the top two corners. Repeat with the other sheet.
  7. Fold down the excess exposed tape between the notched corners.
  8. Lay a strip of hook fastener along the folded edge of one sheet and repeat on the other sheet with the loop fastener.
  9. Join the two sides together by aligning the hook and loop fastener strips and press the seams closed to form three sealed edges.
  10. Now you can embellish your pencil pouch with a variety of techniques limited only by your imagination such as ruffles, layered pieces of tape, folded pointy scales, or even rosettes with interchangeable hook and loop fastened gems!
  11. Attach a strip of loop fastener to the backside of the pouch and position a corresponding piece of removable hook fastener to the interior of your locker. Handy Hint: For storing very heavy objects in your pouch, you may choose to use industrial strength hook and loop fastener. Before doing this check to see if your school has any locker décor limitations.

Materials:

Instructions:

  2. Peel the paper backing off of another whole sheet.
  3. Place the whole peeled sheet down with the sticky side facing up.
  4. Place the smaller sheet you trimmed previously down in the center of the sticky surface leaving the paper backing of the smaller sheet on.
  5. Smooth with your hands.
  6.  Notch out squares on all four corners and fold down the two excess pieces on the two short sides.
  7.  Lay corresponding strips of hook and loop fasteners lengthwise along the two short sides.
  8.  Fold the rectangle in half so the hook and loop fasteners on the short ends join and the seams of the pouch are created by the joining of the sticky excess of the long sides.
  9. Trim any excess.
  10.  Now you can embellish your pencil pouch with a variety of techniques including ruffles, layered pieces of tape, folded pointy scales, or even rosettes with interchangeable hook and loop fastened gems!
