Sakura® Permopaque® markers
Elmer's® White School glue (16 ounces)
Elmer’s® Popperz®
Borax (found in laundry detergent section of store)
Basic Materials:
Small reusable container with lid
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
2 large mixing bowls
Food coloring
Warm water
Container Instructions:
- Trace the container lid onto decorative paper and cut out. Cut a smaller circle from plain paper and write "Flubber" on it. Use a glue stick to adhere the small circle on top of the big circle. Seal this piece with packaging tape and glue to the top of the container.
- Doodle on plastic container with permanent markers.
- Cut a small rectangle from plain paper to fit on the side of the container. Write flubber on the plain piece of paper and seal to the side of the container with packaging tape.
- Fill your container with flubber.
Flubber Instructions:
- Mix 1 1/2 cups warm water, 2 cups glue and food coloring in one bowl.
- Mix 1 1/3 cups warm water with 4 Tbsp. borax.
- Pour the first mixture on top of the second mixture. Let the two "react" to create flubber. You may need to knead it with your hands slightly to help it come together.
- Store in the plastic container.
