Use it: Artists have used recycled materials (and compositions) in creating some very memorable works of art (Pablo Picasso’s baboon sculpture; Robert Rauschenberg, Leo Sewell, etc.) The everyday object is seen through different eyes and magically becomes something altogether different.
Become the Sculptor
Materials Needed:
Faber-Castell Metallic Colored Pencils,
Faber-Castell Connector Pens
Household items and recyclables
Canson: XL Drawing or Multimedia paper for sketching out ideas
Directions:
Assemble a variety of common household items (small boxes, containers, loose beads, etc.) As an example: a robot made of containers, straws, odd bits of hardware, bottle caps, etc. Plan out the features in a quick sketch and start to build. Double stick tape, glue guns, screws, brass folding brads can be used to help assemble things. Cover plastic surfaces with paper and decorate with pens or metallic pencils to create the finished robot.
