Materials needed:
Faber-Castell® Beeswax Crayons
Faber-Castell® Black Tempera Paint
Canson® Bristol
Wood Dowel
Nail or Tack (optional)
Paint Brush
Paper Towel or Old Cloth
Instructions:
Start by using a Beeswax Crayon to color the Bristol Paper. Apply color to the paper randomly. Wipe away any crayon crumbs with your towel or cloth.
Then, coat the paper with Black Tempera Paint and set aside to dry. Once the paint has dried you are ready to start creating!
Use your dowel to create a sketch by scratching away the paint coating. Use the nail or tack to create more fine lines and details. This technique really lets you capture the finer details of fins, feathers and fur!
