Time needed for project:
1 hour plus drying time

Materials needed:

  1. Elmer’s® Classic Glitter glue
  2. Pepperell Braiding Co. Rexlace™ Plastic Lacing
  3. Page protectors/ scrap plastic packaging.
  4. Plastic Canvas
  5. Scissors
  6. Print outs of hero logos or Coloring book pictures
  7. Painter’s Tape

Directions:

  1. Print out picture (Google “Pixel art” on the internet) or prepare coloring book image. Slide image into page protector. Tape plastic canvas on top of page protector using Painter’s Tape. Using Glitter Glue, fill in squares of plastic canvas following colors of choice. Let Dry.

  2. Carefully remove plastic canvas from page protector. Using scissors, trim plastic canvas leaving 1 open square all the way around.

  3. Measure out 1 yard of plastic lacing. Fold in half. Make a hanging loop by measuring down 3 inches from folded edge and make an overhand knot. Place knot at top of the pixel art. Using a whipstitch, weave lacing through open holes on one side until you reach the bottom. Repeat on other side. Make a knot at the bottom and trim off extra, or tie on beads and let it be a tassel.
