Faber-Castell® Black Tempera Paint
Canson® Watercolor Paper
Paintbrush

Directions:
To create a scratch art drawing, first create various squares, circles or any shape of your choice of colors of Beeswax Crayon.  Make it random, it will add lots of interest to your drawing!
Once you have filled your page with color, paint over it in sections with a layer of black tempera paint.  Create circles, triangles, any shape you like.  While the paint is still wet, use the end of your paintbrush to “scratch” away the paint in the shape of the creature of your choice.
You may want to have a paper towel handy to wipe the paint off the end of your brush.  You can always scratch the paint off when the paint is dry too!  You can create scales, feathers and fur by varying the length, width and pattern of the scratches you make.
