Feather Masks
Project Description: These dazzling masks are easy to make and can be instantly changed over and over again! Adorn them to look realistic like our feathered friends the birds or create a fashionable masquerade look in a snap!
Materials:
Westcott Brand® Kids NonStick 5” Blunt Tip Scissors with Microban® Protection (for ages 4 and up)

Instructions:
- To create the feathers, use wire cutters to cut the chenille stems into 2” long pieces.
- Sandwich the chenille stem pieces between two pieces of duct tape.
- Trim the pieces along their sides into tapered feather shapes.
- Cut fringe on the sides of the feathers at an angle and fluff the feathers up by separating the fringe with your fingers.
- Attach two 3/8” hook coins to the back of each feather.
- Attach 3/8” hook coins to the back of several flat clear acrylic flat back gems.
- Dip the adhesive side of several 5/8” hook coins into glitter of assorted colors.
- Embellish the blank mask with the feathers, gems and glittered coins.
- When inspiration strikes, easily remove and rearrange the embellishment pieces to suit your personal sense of style!
