Super Easy Knit Belt/Scarf/Shrug

Scarf measures 4” x 60” without fringe
Belt measures 2” x 27”
Shrug measures 14” x 34”
Fingerless Gloves fit most kids.

Directions are for the Belt: changes for the scarf, fingerless gloves and shrug are in parentheses.

Main Supplies:
Art. E300, Red Heart® “Super Saver”™: 1 skein color of choice.
(100% acrylic, 7 oz/364 yard solid or 5 oz/278 yard multi&print) skeins
Art. E733, Red Heart® “Strata”™: 1-2 skeins color of choice
(100% acrylic, 4 oz/202 yard) ball.

Knitting Needles: 5.5mm (US size 9) and 6mm (US size 10)

Gauge: 14 stitches = 4”; 28 rows = 4”
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.


Instructions:
Cast on 8 (16,30,45).

Row 1: Knit
Repeat to desired length.
Bind off. Weave in ends.

Finishing for Shrug: Fold in half lengthwise with right sides together. Sew sleeve seams up from each cuff leaving center opening of 18” to 20”. Weave in ends. Turn right side out.

Finishing for Gloves: Fold in half lengthwise with right sides together. Sew seams up from each edge leaving a 1” opening for thumb. Weave in ends. Turn right side out.

Fringe (Optional): Fringe: Cut 22” lengths of yarn. Holding 2 strands together, fold in half forming a loop. Insert hook into single croche along long edge or into the chain 1 space, from the wrong side of the fabric and into the loop; draw the loop through the fabric; draw the yarn ends through the loop. Pull on ends to tighten. Trim ends.
