Stained Glass Tiles

Use letter-shaped
clay cutters to create unique patterns in clay.

Main supplies:
- ½
cup Elmer’s® Glue-All®
- ½
cup cornstarch
- ½
cup flour
- Elmer’s®
Mega 3D™ Washable Paint Pens – transparent colors:
red, yellow, blue
- Makin’s
Clay® 1” letter clay cutters
Basic Supplies:
- Wax paper
- ½
cup measure
- Rolling
pin
- Masking
tape

Instructions:
- Make dough: Mix white
glue, cornstarch and flour together. Knead dough well. Press
dough into a flat disk. Place on a sheet of wax paper. Cover
with another sheet of wax paper. Roll dough about 3/16”
thick. Remove top sheet of wax paper.
- Using letter-shaped
clay cutters, cut designs from clay. Allow clay tile to
dry. Remove wax paper backing. Place clay tile back side
up. Allow back to dry a little while longer.
- Stick masking tape
on tile back, behind cut-out. Lay tile flat, right side
up. Squeeze transparent 3D paint into cut out areas. Allow
paint to dry.
- Optional: Tile can
be painted with tempera or acrylic paint, glitter glue or
left unpainted. Place finished tile in a window or rest
against an open CD case.
