Initial Tin

Decoupage a tin and add your initials. Choose Adjectives that start with your initial to
describe your qualities. Make one for yourself and your friends.


Main supplies:

  • Recycled mint tin
  • Chipboard letter
  • Construction paper, pink, black, cream
  • Elme’rs® Mega 3D™ Paint Pens- neon green
  • Elmer’s® Glue -All®
  • Elmer’s® Duel Tip No Wrinkle Glue Pen
  • Elmer’s® Galactic Glue™
  • Royal® black alphabet stickers
  • Round Epoxy stickers

Basic Supplies:

  • Sponge brush
  • Small jump ring
  • Fiskars® scissors
  • Elmer’s® Painters® Opaque marker – black
  • Fiskars® 1/8” hole punch






Instructions:

  1. Tear construction paper into small pieces for decoupage.
  2. Mix white glue with water to make decoupage paste (2 parts glue to 1 parts water). Use to decoupage pieces to front of tin. Layer pieces until top is completely covered and you are satisfied wit the pattern.
  3. Apply 3D paint to chipboard letter. Apply a layer of Galactic Glue. Allow to dry.
  4. Adhere alphabet sticker to pink construction paper. Add a small amount of Galactic Glue on top of the sticker. Allow to dry. Adhere an epoxy sticker over the alphabet sticker and cut around with scissors. Punch a hole in the sticker and insert a jump ring. Punch a hole in bottom end of chipboard letter and attach the epoxy sticker with jump ring. Glue to the front of the tin with the glue pen.
  5. Cut pink paper to 10”x 3.” Score every two inches until you have five panels. Write one adjective per panel with black marker. Outline paper with black marker.
