Instructions:
- Tear pieces of tissue
paper, approximately 8”X10” in colors of choice.
Lay the tissue on plastic bags and carefully paint one coat
of school glue over tissue. If glue is too thick, add a
little water to thin. Immediately add another layer of the
same colored tissue, paint with more glue, and let dry.
- Use patterns provided
to form the wire shapes and twist wire ends to secure in
place.
- Cut 6 lengths of
fishing line 12” – 18” long
- Lay the wire shapes
on the dried tissue paper and paint again with a coat of
school glue.
- Immediately lay 5
pieces of fishing line extending from the bottom of the
music staff. Place 6th piece over the top to serve as a
hanger. Cover entire staff with additional pieces of tissue
paper, matching colors. Use your hands to gently press the
tissue into the wire shape. Squirt a generous amount of
Galactic Glue onto tissue inside wire shape. Use a paintbrush
to spread glue evenly. Repeat with other elements but do
not add fishing line. Let dry overnight.
- Carefully remove
shapes from plastic bags. Cut around each shape to remove
excess tissue paper, being careful not to cut fishing line.
Use a t-pin or needle to poke a hole in the top of each
design element. Music Mobile.
- Thread the fishing
line from the staff through the holes in the design elements
and tie each piece at a different height. Add a drop of
glue to the knot, and cut excess fishing line.
