Faux Stained Glass Snake

Main supplies:

  • Elmer’s® Painters ColorCutter® Markers
    Pattern (included)
  • Cardstock, yellow, blue, green
  • Tracing paper
  • Transfer paper

Basic Supplies:

  • Elmer’s® School Glue Stick- Disappearing Purple
  • Black mat 11”x14”
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Cutting mat

Snake Pattern (PDF)

Instructions:

1.Trace the pattern onto yellow cardstock. BEFORE activating the blade in the Color Cutter, use the black one to go over all the lines in the snake.
2. Use the red and black Color Cutters to color the snake as shown.
3. Follow the directions on the package and activate the blades in the Black and Gold Color Cutters. Place your drawing on a cutting mat and use the Black Color Cutter to cut out the snake.  Cut out the 3 spaces in the snake’s coil also.  Use the Gold Color Cutter and a ruler to cut the snake into 1” vertical strips.
4. Use the Gold Color Cutter to cut the green cardstock diagonally in both directions and to cut each piece in half. Glue pieces onto the blue cardstock as shown.
5. Glue the snake onto the prepared cardstock.  Mat with a black mat.
