- Pepperell Crafts S’getti® Stings – desired colors
- Plastic bead with large hole – color to match
- Lanyard or key ring
- Elmer’s® Foam Board™
- Sewing pins
- Low tack masking tape
- Scissors
- Ruler
|
- Measure and cut a 24” length from three different colors of string.
- Layer the three strings together and find center. Attach center of strings to key ring with a half hitch.
- Push sewing pin at center of knot then add several more pins to ring to hold in place if needed.
- Divide string in half having all three colors on both sides. Take one sting from both sides and tie a tight knot under half hitch to hold stings in place. Place pin in knot to hold in place.
- Divide and braid three string together holding ends in place with a small piece of tape to secure. Braid other three stings.
- Knot strings following diagram, lacing under and over as shown on pattern, holding loops with pins as needed.
- Remove all pins, wiggle and pull sections to tighten to forming the knot.
- Bring braided ends together under knot and pin in place. Trim braided ends to about 4” then unbraid strings. Slip on plastic bead over ends then push tightly to just under knot to hold in place. Trim ends of strings if desired.
