Helping Kids Philosophy Teachers

By Julie McGuffee

Main supplies:

  • Pacon® KolorFast® tissue paper – color of your choice
  • Delta Ceramcoat® acrylic paint – colors of your choice
  • 1-1/2” Wood block
  • Pacon® craft foam – any color
  • Basics supplies:

  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil

Instructions:

1. You can use pre-cut foam shapes or cut your own by tracing patterns onto foam sheet then cutting out.
2. Glue one shape to one side of the wood block. Glue a second shape to another side of block. If the foam is thin, you may find it easier to cut two of each pattern then glue the second foam shape top on the first.
3. Use a paintbrush to spread paint onto the foam shape then stamp onto the tissue paper to decorate. The teardrop and circle shapes can be used to make a variety of designs like: flowers, a dragonfly, or hearts.
