Main supplies:

  • One 6” clay saucer
  • DecoArt® light and dark green acrylic paint
  • Royal® 1” Sponge brush
  • Pacon® Construction Paper - black
  • Fiskars® scissors and ¼” hole punch
  • Household sponge
  • Black permanent marker
  • Gloss decoupage medium

Instructions:
1. Using the sponge brush, paint the saucer light green. Allow to dry. Using a small piece of sponge apply dark green paint over the light green color. Sponge lightly, allowing the light green to show through. Allow to dry.

2. Draw designs around the outside edge of the saucer with the black permanent marker.

3. Trace the pattern for the symbol onto black construction paper. Using scissors cut the pattern out. Use the hole punch to cut the two circles of the symbol.

4. Glue the symbol into the center of the saucer using the decoupage medium. Apply several coats over the symbol and the surface of the saucer. Allow to dry between coats.
