Instructions:
1. Cut a 2” circle from pink construction
paper. Glue circle on bright orange tagboard. Tear strips
of yellow cellophane. Apply glue stick to back of strips.
Glue over sun circle and on sky background. Cut tree trunk
from brown construction paper. Glue in position.
2. Trace pattern for mountain. Using graphite paper, transfer
pattern to orange tagboard.
2. Mountain: Cut 3/4” squares from dark blue/turquoise
duet paper. Fold the corners to the turquoise center point
(with dark blue on the outside). Glue folded squares on mountain
base. Cut 3/4” squares from light blue paper with white
back. Fold the corners to the white center point (with light
blue on the outside). Glue folded squares on mountain top.
Trim 1/2” from right edge and bottom edge of tagboard,
making the jagged edge of mountain even. Glue tagboard on
orange artboard.
3. Cherry Blossoms: Cut out several hearts from pink construction
paper. Fold hearts vertically in half. Dip fold in a small
puddle of glue. Arrange five folded hearts in a circle creating
a cherry blossom. Punch 1/4” flower centers from yellow
construction paper. Dip dots in glue, then position in flower
center.
4. Leaves: Cut out leaves from green construction paper. Make
two diagonal folds on circle creating a point on one side.
