You will need:

  • 6" Styrofoam disk
  • White tissue paper
  • Laminating glue
  • Paint brush
  • Acrylic paint - brown, turquoise, orange & yellow
  • Geometric wood shapes


Instructions:

1. Tear the tissue paper into small pieces.

2. Starting with the sides, cover the top and sides of the Styrofoam disc with laminating glue. Completely cover with pieces of tissue paper then re-coat with laminating glue. Let dry.

3. Paint the top and sides of the disc brown.

4. While the paint is drying, plan the design of your petroglyph message on a piece of paper or paper plate.

5. Glue the wood pieces onto the painted disc.

6. Paint the wood pieces turquoise, orange and yellow as shown, or choose your own design.
